Health Mela in Kathua, part of Ayushman Bhava campaign, receives enthusiastic response

KATHUA, Oct 6: A significant Health Mela organized under the Ayushman Bhava Campaign took place today at CHC Bani, Kathua, with the wholehearted support and guidance of the esteemed Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Rakesh Mangotra. Dr. Surinder Attri, Principal GMC Kathua, coordinated the event, which was attended by Dr. Dev Raj Mishra, Block Medical Officer, Bani, and aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the community.
The Health Mela commenced with a grand inauguration (Ribbon Ceremony) led by Reeta Thakur, a respected District Development Council Member, at 10:30 AM. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with a total of 636 patients seeking medical attention across various medical specialties.
Among the specialties, the Ortho OPD recorded the highest number of patient visits, with 120 individuals seeking orthopedic care. The Gynecology OPD saw 102 patients, the Eye department attended to 48 individuals, and the Surgery department catered to 87 patients. Additionally, the ENT department provided care to 82 patients, Dermatology (Skin) received 51 patients, Medicine attended to 73 individuals, and Pediatrics saw 73 patients as well. Dr. Dev Raj Mishra, Block Medical Officer, Bani, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the District Health Administration and all the dedicated doctors for their unwavering commitment to providing medical treatment to underprivileged residents in the remote areas of District Kathua.
The overwhelming response to the Health Mela underscores the dedication of the healthcare community to ensure the well-being of the people in the region. This event serves as a testament to the importance of accessible healthcare services for all members of the community.
