Shiv Sena demands justice, after terrorist killing in Jammu, Kashmir | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 6: In a passionate response to the tragic killing of 15-year-old Sahil Dar by terrorists in the village of Vanihama, Anantnag district, Shiv Sena activists took a stand for justice today, demanding financial assistance of Rs 1 crore for the victim's grieving family from the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Manish Sahni, the State President of Shiv Sena J&K, led the charge in condemning the brutal act of terrorism. Symbolically burning an effigy of terrorism, he sent a resounding message to those who support and perpetrate such heinous acts, including Pakistan. In a press statement, Sahni emphasized that terrorism knows no boundaries of religion; it is an enemy of humanity itself. It holds no allegiance to Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, or any other community. The sole purpose of terrorists is to sow fear and make their presence felt. Addressing the issue of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Sahni refuted claims of its decline, asserting that in recent years, terrorism has not only affected the Kashmir region but has also extended its reach to Jammu. The growing menace of narcoterrorism has added another layer of threat to security agencies. Sahni made it clear that the restoration of peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir is unlikely without sending a strong message to Pakistan. He called for a unified effort to counteract the forces behind terrorism and ensure a safer future for the region. The gathering included prominent members of the party, such as Meenakshi Chhibber, President of the Women's Wing; Vikas Bakshi, General Secretary; Sanjeev Kohli, Vice President; Raj Singh, President of the Kamghar Wing; Geeta Devi, Secretary; and several others who voiced their support for justice and peace in the region. The demand for justice and the call for peace reverberate in Jammu and Kashmir as the community comes together to condemn terrorism and seek a brighter future for the troubled region. |
