GDC hosts Financial Literacy, Awareness Camp | | | Early Times Report RAMGARH, Oct 6: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, along with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college, organized an interactive session with SBI Bank on October 6th, held within the college premises. The session aimed to raise awareness about the various schemes, services, benefits, security measures, and other facilities provided by SBI Bank to the students. The event commenced with a welcome address presented by Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Convener of IQAC. She provided insights into the program's proceedings and highlighted its significance in the everyday lives of students. Archana Kachroo, A.O. (Head Office Jammu), and Rajesh Mehta, F.I. Manager, served as resource persons from the bank. Archana Kachroo delivered a lecture on financial literacy, shedding light on government initiatives that enable students to open accounts with zero deposits under social security schemes. Rajesh Mehta provided information about various financial services, including Insurance Cover, Cyber Security, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, and Atal Pension Yojana-CRA-NSDL. He also discussed the necessary documents for availing these services. The entire event was conducted under the capable guidance and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the college's Principal. She emphasized the value of such events in disseminating knowledge that can benefit youth by helping them understand bank policies and schemes. She expressed her gratitude to the bank team for dedicating their valuable time to raise awareness among the students.
