Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 6: Live for Others - being helpful foundation, in partnership with J&K Bank, proudly announces a significant milestone in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, "Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads)." This initiative is dedicated to ensuring access to menstrual hygiene for women and girls in Jammu & Kashmir, with the distribution of 500,000 sanitary napkins and the conduct of 100 awareness seminars. It aims to benefit 50,000 people across all 20 districts of the region while actively working to eliminate the taboo surrounding menstruation in society. The first district to successfully complete this mission is Doda, where more than 25,000 sanitary napkins were distributed. These distributions were complemented by six impactful awareness lectures focused on "Menstrual Hygiene and Its Taboos in Society." Dr. Renuka Katoch served as the resource person for the first two seminars, while Ms. Babita took charge of the remaining four. These activities took place in government schools located in peripheral areas, including Govt. Higher Secondary School Girls, Doda; Govt. Higher Secondary School, Khellani; Paramount Public Higher Secondary School, Doda; Govt. Higher Secondary School, Trown; Govt. Higher Secondary School, Bhagwah; and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ghat. Vivek Parihar, Founder & CEO of Live for Others - being helpful foundation, expressed his excitement about the progress of "Mission R-SAP" and the positive impact it has had on women's health and hygiene. He emphasized the team's commitment to expanding the initiative to other districts in the region, with simultaneous efforts underway. The "Mission R-SAP" initiative remains dedicated to raising awareness and ensuring accessibility to menstrual hygiene in every district of Jammu & Kashmir.
