Members of Bar Association Jammu visit GDCT & allied institutions

JAMMU, Oct 14: The esteemed members of the Bar Association Jammu paid a visit to the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) and toured various institutions under its purview. This visit, organized by the management of GDCT, aimed to provide the legal fraternity with insights into the Trust's activities and achievements.
During the visit, the lawyers explored Brig. Khuda Baksh Hr. Sec. School, MAM Girls Hostel, Sahir Ludhianvi Cultural Hall, Dr. Masud Choudhary Tribal Museum, Babu Faiz Ahmed Study Centre, and Begum Akbar Jahan Research Library, all of which are run by GDCT. They were welcomed by M.S. Chouhan, the General Secretary of the Trust.
The Chairman of the Trust, Shah Mohammad Chowdhary Advocate, delivered briefings on GDCT's objectives and achievements in the fields of socio-economic development and education for the Gujjar and Bakerwal communities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Several distinguished legal professionals, including D.C Raina, Advocate General; Vikram Sharma, President of the Bar Association Jammu; Leela Karan Sharma, Senior Advocate; U.K Jalali, Former Advocate General; BS Manhas, Former Senior Additional Advocate General; B.S. Salathia, Former Acting President of Bar Association Jammu; S.C. Gupta, Former Senior Additional Advocate General; Syed Jameel Kazmi; H.C. Jalmeria; Rameshwar Singh Jamwal; and Ms. Supriya Chouhan, lauded the significant role played by the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust in the fields of education and the preservation of rich heritage, culture, and the Gojri Language. They expressed appreciation for the Trust's efforts in conserving the rich heritage of the Gujjar tribals in the Union Territory.

The event concluded with a two-minute silence observed to pay homage to Late Dr. Masud Ahmed Choudhary and Late Ch. Bashir Ahmed, Retired District & Sessions Judge, who was the first Chairman of GDCT.
Hamid Hussain, Vice Chairman; Saleem Mohammad, Retired IAS; Mushtaq Ahmed, Advocate; Madam Farida Javed; Rashid Ahmed Choudhary; Bashir Ahmed Noon, Senior Trustee, presented the vote of thanks, acknowledging the presence and support of the legal fraternity.
