Chhari Yatra to Mata Vaishno Devi commences with grandeur

JAMMU, Oct 14: The 41st Chhari Yatra to the sacred shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, led by the Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit, commenced with traditional fervor and devotion. The yatra began from the historic Radhunath Temple in Jammu, winding its way through the main markets of the city, and concluded at the picturesque hills of Trikuta, the abode of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Under the patronage of Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh and Child Saint Sahil Ji Maharaj, the Yatra commenced with the hoisting of the Saffron Flag at Shri Radhunath Temple. The spiritual journey was embraced by a multitude of devotees who celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm.
The Yatra route led through several prominent areas in Jammu, including Radhunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, and Raj Tilak Road in Nagrota. The first Darshan of the Yatra was held at Kaul Kandoli in Nagrota. The Yatra then continued to Dharm Nagari Katra, where it was warmly welcomed by the officials of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and the Katra unit. The second Darshan was performed at Deva Mai, before the Chhari Yatra reached its ultimate destination, the Darbar of Mata Vaishno Devi.
Addressing the gathering, Manish Sahni highlighted that special Chhari Puja rituals will be conducted at the Holy Cave Shrine during the auspicious Navratras. This ritual involves the veneration of Goddesses Laxmi, Saraswati, and Kali, invoking blessings for brotherhood, peace, prosperity, and economic advancement in Jammu and Kashmir and the entire nation.
The Dharmarth Trust honored Shiv Sena's National Organization, Ashok Tiwari, Vinod Kumar, and State President Manish Sahni with a ceremonial Chunri (scarf) as a token of respect. Additionally, the Shiv Sena presented mementos to Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh and Child Saint Sahil Ji Maharaj.
As the Chhari Yatra progresses, it is expected to be a spiritually fulfilling journey for all attendees, and the festivities during Navratras promise to enhance the overall experience for devotees.
Residents and visitors of Jammu are invited to join this sacred procession and partake in the divine atmosphere of the 41st Chhari Yatra, further enriching their spiritual journey amidst the tranquil surroundings of Trikuta Hills.
