Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 14: In continuation of the activities organized to celebrate Khadi Mahotsav, the Department of History, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of GDC Sidhra and under the aegis of IQAC, organized the screening of a short movie titled "KHADI." The purpose of the program was to educate students about the development of Khadi in India. Addressing the students, Dr. Punam Rani highlighted that Khadi is not just a piece of cloth but a symbol of sacrifice, struggle, and the dreams of countless people who believed in the power of unity and unwavering determination. This screening provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the glorious history of Khadi. Khadi, which became a source of pride for Indians during the national movement, has evolved into a powerful tool for eradicating poverty and combating unemployment. The program was organized by Dr. Punam Rani, Assistant Professor in History, with the active support of P.O. NSS Mehmood Ahmed, under the patronage of Dr. B.B. Anand, the Principal of the college. |
