Multimedia Exhibition raises awareness about Government welfare schemes | | | Early Times Report KATRA, Oct 21: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) is currently hosting an eight-day multimedia exhibition in Katra, which is serving as a potent platform for raising mass awareness about various government public welfare schemes. Organized by CBC's Field Office, Udhampur, the exhibition, which runs from October 16 to October 23 at Government Higher Secondary School, Katra, aims to inform the public about the government's achievements over the last nine years in different sectors. The exhibition employs various media, including photo exhibits, informative standees, expert lectures, IEC materials, and engaging cultural performances to disseminate information about the welfare schemes. The fifth day of the exhibition featured an in-depth presentation on programs and schemes in the Health and Family Welfare sector. Resource persons, Dr. Sumaira and Dr. Shakti, highlighted key health sector initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat- PMJAY, JSSK, RBSK, and programs for the control and prevention of non-communicable diseases. Sh. Ghulam Abass, Joint Director, CBC, J&K, and Ladakh region, emphasized the importance of raising awareness for the successful implementation of public welfare schemes. He encouraged attendees to share the information they gained at the exhibition with their family and friends. CBC intends to use the increased flow of devotees during the Navratra Festival as an opportunity for large-scale awareness campaigns. As part of CBC's integrated communication strategy, cultural troupes from various parts of the country entertained the audience while conveying information about welfare schemes. Additionally, students from local schools presented cultural programs and engaged in an open quiz covering Central Sector Schemes and Centrally Sponsored Schemes. The CBC is also hosting daily Prabhat Pheris, Shoba Yatras, and cultural evenings during the Navratra Festival in Katra. On the fifth cultural evening, Sh. Arvind Kumar, Assistant Commandant, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), attended as the Chief Guest and commended CBC's approach of combining entertainment with the dissemination of vital information, promoting welfare schemes, national integration, and communal harmony. |
