| GDC, RS Pura organizes seminar | | |  Early Times Report
RS PURA, Oct 21: Govt. Degree College, R.S. Pura, organized a one-day seminar on international study and career counseling, facilitated by the Career Counseling Cell in collaboration with the Department of Zoology. The event aimed to provide college students with insights into educational opportunities both within and outside the country after graduation. The seminar was conducted under the patronage of Dr. Rajni Bhagat, the Principal of the college, and the able guidance of Dr. Chanchal Angral, Head of the Zoology Department. Rakesh Sharma, Branch Head of AECC-Jalandhar, served as the resource person for the event. Sharma delivered a comprehensive address focusing on career prospects and work visas in various fields after completing a degree. He emphasized the importance of aligning career and educational plans with individual interests. Additionally, Sharma provided a comparative perspective on educational opportunities in different countries and the work visa possibilities available in those nations.
Over 100 students, along with faculty members from the college, actively participated in the program. Dr. Chanchal Angral initiated the seminar with a welcome address, followed by an extension lecture. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, the Convener of the Career Counseling Cell. Other faculty members present at the event included Prof. Shafali, Dr. Neeti Chhibber, Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Rakesh Kalotra, and Nisha Kumari, in addition to members of the Zoology Department and the Career Counseling Cell.
This one-day seminar played a crucial role in guiding students on their academic and career paths, offering them valuable insights into international study options and career prospects, and equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their future. |
