No major rain, snowfall till Nov 2 in J&K, Ladakh: Weatherman | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 25: Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Wednesday predicted that there is no forecast of major rain or snowfall till November 2 in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Union territories. However, Kashmir weather, an independent forecaster Faizan Arif said that a weak Western Disturbance is expected around October 27-28 with the possibility of light rain or snow in a few spots in higher reaches. He said Kashmir Plains are likely to have maximum day temperature to stay in the range of 18 – 21-C while minimum temperature in the 3 – 6-C range. The dry weather conditions are likely to continue till the end of this month, he added. The Met office said the weather will remain mainly clear to party till October 28 while it would be generally cloudy with light rain or snow over isolated higher reaches on October 29. The weather will remain partly cloudy on October 30-13 and partly to general cloudy on November 1-2. “No forecast of any major rain or snowfall till November 2 in J&K and Ladakh”, the MeT office said. Dry conditions are likely to prevail till the end of this month. The weather is favorable for harvesting and safe storage of crops besides all outdoor activities, the MeT office said. The minimum temperature at Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, was recorded at 3.2-C, Qazigund 3.4-C, Pahalgam -0.5-C, Kupwara 2.0-C, Kokernag 4.1-C and Gulmarg 0.5-C on Wednesday, the MeT office said. |
