Kishtwar Police takes astrict action against traffic violations - 59 Vehicles challaned for rash driving, without helmet & wrong parking

Kishtwar, Nov. 16, 2023: In a determined effort to ensure road safety and adherence to traffic rules, the Kishtwar Police, under the directive of SSP Khalil Poswal-JKPS, has challaned 59 violators under the Motor Vehicle Act. The operation, known as “3rd Eye Kishtwar,” targeted offenses such as wrong parking, riding without a helmet, and overloading in Kishtwar town.
The specially constituted team, tasked with enforcing traffic challans, utilized advanced technical aids, including CCTV surveillance mechanisms. The team captured photographs and conducted videography of traffic rule violations. Through the number plate reading system, the vehicles involved were identified, and subsequently, the residential addresses of the vehicle owners were ascertained. Challans, accompanied by photographs of the violations, were then sent to their respective residences.
