Science Club, Utsaah organizes Public Lecture Series | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 17: The Science Club, Utsaah, organized a Public Lecture Series on Science & Innovation for Sustainable Solutions at Jammu University. The series aimed to instill a culture of invention and innovation for sustainable solutions in the youth, covering topics such as historical inventions, the power of data, plant-based health solutions, and the transformative potential of coding skills in entrepreneurship. Padmashree Prof. Dinesh Singh, Vice Chairperson of HEI, J&K UT, and Former VC Delhi University, delivered a talk on "The World of Inventions & Innovations: Some Interesting Examples." Prof. Singh shared insights into historical inventions, encouraging students to be curious and use their hands and intellect for innovation. He emphasized the transformative power of data and drew examples from history. Dr. Sangram K. Lenka from Gujarat Biotechnology University spoke on "Sustainable Health Promoting Nutraceuticals from Plants," sharing research-based experiences on health-promoting nutraceuticals produced using biotechnological tools. Young entrepreneur Sahej Pal Singh, CEO of Ezytech Products and a 12th-grade student, shared his coding journey and how it led to the creation of software for cost-effective and hassle-free packing label and sticker printing. The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Umesh Rai, presided over the event, inspiring the audience with his visionary words. Prof. Satnam Kour, Chairperson of Utsaah, delivered the welcome address, and the program was attended by eminent guests, faculty members, and students from various disciplines.
