GDC Ramnagar raises awareness on drug addiction, Cyber Crime, and Traffic Safety | | | Early Times Report RAMNAGAR, Nov 17: In a proactive move towards fostering a safer and informed community, the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Committee of Govt. Degree College Ramnagar, in collaboration with the Police Department Ramnagar, organized an awareness program on the theme 'Drug Addiction, Cyber Crime, and Traffic Awareness.' The initiative, held under the patronage of Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, drew a keen audience of students from various disciplines. The program aimed to enlighten and sensitize young minds about the detrimental effects of drugs, the risks associated with cybercrime, and the importance of traffic safety. The enlightening lecture on the theme was delivered by Sohan Singh, SHO Ramnagar, who shed light on the physical, mental, and social adversities linked to drug abuse. He also emphasized strategies for dealing with cybercrime and encouraged students to prioritize adherence to traffic rules for personal safety. Present at the occasion were esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Mohd Riaz (Coordinator, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Committee), Anice Ahmed (HOD English), Prof. Shoba Rani (Dogri), Dr. Irfan Ahmad Wani (Psychology), Dr. Mudasir Ahmad (Sociology), Dr. Divya Puri (HOD Psychology), and Dr. Mudasir (Economics).
