Jammu, Nov 21: In a remarkable achievement for Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, Vrindalika Sharma from Class IX-C emerged as the winner of the prestigious NHPC (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd.) State Level Painting Competition held on November 20, 2023. The competition, organized as part of the National Awareness Campaign to promote Energy Conservation, witnessed Vrindalika securing the coveted 1st position in Category-B and receiving a cash prize of Rs. 50,000. Vanshika Dutta from Class X-J also showcased her artistic talent and claimed the 3rd prize in Category-B, earning a cash prize of Rs. 20,000. Both winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Sh. Bikram Singh, ED, NHPC Regional Office, Jammu. The NHPC competition was divided into two categories: Group-A for classes V, VI, and VII, and Group-B for classes VIII, IX, and X. With around 6000 students participating from Jammu & Kashmir UT, DPS Jammu contributed significantly with 800 students joining the competition. The outstanding performance of Vrindalika and Vanshika earned them spots in the upcoming national level painting competition scheduled for December 2023. Ms. Ruchi Chabra, the Principal of DPS Jammu, expressed her pride in the school’s achievement, standing out as a state-level winner among thousands of participants. The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, including Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, distinguished PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director-Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji, congratulated the winners, their parents, and the teacher in-charge, Mr. Suresh Kumar Sharma, for their outstanding achievements. They extended their best wishes for the students’ success in all their future national competitions, reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and excellence. |
