| Son of Apni Party leader deserts father joins NC | | I was threatened with PSA, no admission for son in any school, alleges Riyaz Padder | |  Early Times Report
Kulgam, Nov 21: In a jolt to Apni Party led by Altaf Bukhari, Riyaz Ahmed Padder son of Abdul Majeed Padder, senior leader of Apni Party joined National Conference here.
Riyaz was welcomed into the party fold by the National Conference vice-president, Omar Abdullah, senior party leaders, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Sakina Itoo and others.
After joining the NC, Riyaz Padder while addressing a gathering said, “I have come to NC as the person running that party is not good. You can’t stay in a house where there is no freedom and discipline, where there is no system. I request all the youngsters to come forward and join the National Conference.”
Padder said, “One day before joining the NC, I received many phone calls and was threatened that if I attend the NC function I will be booked under Public Safety Act.”
He alleged : “I was told that my son won’t get admission in any school.”
“I want to ask the people threatening me that am I not the son of this soil? Don’t I have any rights?” Padder asked. |
