Alexander Memorial School, Jammu, hosts vibrant Junior Sports Day

JAMMU, Nov 21: The grounds of Alexander Memorial School were alive with energy and enthusiasm as the school celebrated its Junior Sports Day for students from Nursery to 5th Primary today. The event, held within the school premises, witnessed the presence of esteemed chief guest Johnny William, IPS, Former IGP, and President of Alexander Memorial Educational Society.
Distinguished personalities, including Robin Mehta, Sanjeev Vaid from Rotary Club, Jammu, Rajbinder Kler, Proprietor, Cross Way Cricket Academy, and Principals from various reputed institutions in Jammu, such as Prabha Jain (New Era Environmental School) and Neeru Puri (S.D. Tara Puri High School), graced the occasion with their presence.
The chief guest was warmly received by Esther William, the Principal of Alexander Memorial School, along with two tiny tots who presented him with a customary bouquet. The event commenced with a welcome address by the Principal, followed by a delightful welcome song performed by the junior wing of the school choir.
The sports events included a variety of races such as Hop Race, 30 Mts. Race, Lemon & Spoon Race, Needle & Thread Race, Sack Race, and Three-Legged Race. The young participants showcased their agility and sportsmanship, making the event a memorable one.

Nursery (Hop Race):
1st Position: Jason Robert/Aiza Elahi, 2nd Position: Aradhana/Siyon Sotra and 3rd Position: Noor Sandhu/Sabrina/Rickson Morrison
LKG (Hop Race):
1st Position: Zionah Teji/Shohel Alam, 2nd Position: Olivia Athwal/Mohit Kashyap and 3rd Position: Areeba Akhtar/Tahil Ahmad Dar
UKG (Hop Race):
1st Position: Mahin Fatima/Abraham Mattoo, 2nd Position: Kavya/Tanish Bhardwaj and 3rd Position: Mary Mattoo/Riyansh Sotra
Class I (30 Mts. Race):
1st Position: Alex/Joyce Marry Sotra, 2nd Position: Mohd Ayan/Iva and 3rd Position: Abenezer/Ariya
All participants received certificates, and winners were awarded medals. The event concluded with a brief yet impressive speech by chief guest Johnny William, IPS, who applauded the school's efforts and the stellar performance of the young participants. He encouraged them to excel in both academics and co-curricular activities.
The proceedings were skillfully compared by Neelam Shambu, and S.K. Munshi, Sr. Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks. The celebration concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the national anthem, leaving a lasting impression on the participants and attendees alike.
