Jammu, Nov 26 : Government Polytechnic College Jammu has concluded a six-day training program on “Basic Computer Skills” aimed at enhancing and strengthening the skills of employees from the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Katra. The training, organized under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college, began on 20th November and concluded with a valedictory function today. The primary objective of the training program was to augment the computer skills of SMVDSB employees. Er. Arun Bangotra, in his role as the Principal, played a key role in overseeing the successful organization of the training. The program focused on imparting essential skills in various applications, software, and Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The concluding day saw a valedictory function where Er. Arun Bangotra distributed training certificates among the participating employees of SMVDSB. During the event, he interacted with the trainees, expressing appreciation for their commitment to upskilling. Special congratulations were extended to Er. Sanjay Kaul, HOD Computer Engineering, and his staff for efficiently organizing the training program. Mr. Ved Paul, an instructor, provided hands-on training to SMVDSB employees, offering insights into various applications and tricks used in Microsoft Office. To enhance the learning experience, a visit was organized to the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) Jammu. This visit provided participants with a first-hand experience of the latest technologies. The employees of SMVDSB expressed their gratitude to the college administration for delivering excellent training, enriching their knowledge in the realm of computer skills. The success of the program was attributed to the collaborative efforts of Er. Sanjay Koul (HoD Computer Engineering), Er. Rani Devi (HoD Information Technology), Er. Heena Gupta, Er. Sunil Bhatti, Er. Kanav Gupta, Er. Nisha Bharti, Er. Asmat Nisar, Sh. Ved Pal, and the dedicated staff of the college. The training program not only fulfilled its objective of enhancing computer skills but also provided a platform for interactive learning and exposure to the latest technologies. |
