Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 30: The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, took a proactive step in spreading AIDS awareness by organizing a Nukkad Natak (street play) on the college campus. The event, conducted in collaboration with J&K Aids Control Society, Jammu, was held under the patronage of Dr. Surinder Kumar, the college's Principal. The initiative was planned and executed under the guidance of Dr. Jagmeet Kaur, the Convener of the Red Ribbon Club, and involved the active participation of other club members, including Dr. Fayza, Dr. Roomi Rani, Prof. Binny Kumar, and Prof. Apfan Ali. The Nukkad Natak, focused on "AIDS Awareness," aimed to sensitize students about the causes of AIDS and educate them about remedial measures. A team of five members from J&K Aids Control Society, Jammu, including Shahji Khan, Irfana Bhanu, Ridhima Kalsi, Harshvardhan, and Ajay Baba, orchestrated the performance. During the event, the Principal, Dr. Surinder Kumar, encouraged students to actively disseminate the information in their communities and contribute to making India free from the AIDS epidemic. The faculty members, including Prof. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Prof. Savita Jamwal, Prof. Sanjeev Verma, Prof. Ashu Manhas, Dr. Nazia Rasool, and others, were present to support and witness the impactful awareness initiative. |
