Doda, Dec 2: In its relentless efforts to combat drug peddling, Doda Police successfully apprehended a drug peddler in Thathri area of Doda, seizing narcotics from his possession.
According to Doda Police, credible information was received at PS Thathri indicating that Harnam Singh, son of Duni Chand and resident of village Chilly Pain Tehsil Chilly Pingal A/P Thathri, was involved in drug peddling. It was reported that he possessed a substance similar to charas, intended for sale to local youth in the area. Acting promptly on this information, a police party from PS Thathri conducted an operation and apprehended the suspect at Tippri Morh Thathri.
During the apprehension, charas-like substance was recovered from the individual in the presence of an Executive Magistrate Class 1st from Thathri. A case under relevant sections, FIR No. 103/2023, has been registered at PS Thathri, and the investigation is underway.
Doda Police urges the general public to actively participate in the fight against drug peddling by providing information about any such activities in their neighborhoods.
