Jammu, Dec 2: In a recent visit to Jagti Camp in Jammu, Dr. Archana Kokroo, the president of the US-based Kashmir Overseas Association (KOA), expressed her organization's commitment to further engage with the displaced community and support youth empowerment initiatives. During her visit, Dr. Kokroo reiterated KOA's dedication to serving the community through programs such as Education Assistance Program (EAP) and Save a Child (SAC), as well as its active role in providing assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Community activists and leaders praised Dr. Kokroo for her personal involvement in ensuring the welfare of the displaced community. Pintoo Ji, president of Global Solace, extended gratitude for the increased scholarship amounts under EAP and SAC, highlighting the impact of her contributions on 50 families affected by both Covid-19 and poverty. Acknowledging the extraordinary efforts of Dr. Kokroo, Kiran Watal, the convenor of VKS, proposed the establishment of a skill development center, emphasizing the need for such initiatives in the community. The event witnessed a warm reception for Dr. Kokroo by community stalwarts, including Dr. K N Pandita, Dr. R L nt, B L Bhat (Patron, Global Solace), Kiran Wattal (Patron Global Solace), and other notable personalities. The proposal for the establishment of a skill center was formally presented to Dr. Kokroo during the event. M.K. Yogi delivered the welcome address, while the vote of thanks was presented by Ashwani Bhat. The gathering included the participation of various community members, including P. L. Pandita, Pran Ji, T. K.
