Jammu, Dec 2: One day awareness programme was held at Carmel Convent Higher Secondary School Kunjwani Jammu, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the supervision of Dy.SP, Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu.
The awareness programme was attended by 150 students including girls student of the School.
Awareness about the basic knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Fire fighting especially on drugs addiction were given by the Civil Defence expert to the students. During the programme demonstration on the above said topics was also presented by the Civil Defence team.
The main aim of the awareness programme was to educate students with regard to preventive measures during natural or Man-made disasters.
On the occasion Dy. SP. Anita Pawar delivered valuable lecture on the topics of Disaster Management and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization.
Sr. Maria Swati, Principal of the School appreciated the role of Civil Defence in spreading awareness about disaster management.
Besides Sh. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden CD Jammu, Sh. R. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden CD Jammu, Sh. Sandeep Bhat Sector warden CD Jammu, and other staff of the School were present on the occasion. |
