Jammu, Dec 10: Dogri Sanstha Jammu celebrated the release of 'NAMIT,' a captivating Dogri novel penned by the renowned Inderjeet Kesar. The novel was launched in a modest yet impressive ceremony held at Kunwar Viyogi Auditorium, Dogri Bhawan, Karan Nagar, Jammu. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Sunil Sethi, senior advocate, as the chief guest, with Om Goswami, a distinguished litterateur, as the special guest. The book release function was presided over by Prof. Lalit Magotra, President of Dogri Sanstha Jammu. Inderjeet Kesar, a luminary in Dogri literature, has made substantial contributions as a novelist, essayist, and poet. His accolades include the prestigious Sahitya Academy Award for his novel 'BHAGIRATH' in 2018, and he boasts over 22 published works. During the event, Kesar shared insights into his journey as a writer, shedding light on the creative process behind 'NAMIT' and his growing passion for novel writing. Chief guest Sunil Sethi praised Inderjeet Kesar's significant contributions to Dogri literature, commending his consistency as a writer and hailing him as an inspiration for others. Om Goswami, the special guest, welcomed the new novel and acknowledged the exceptional effort demanded from novelists, a feat splendidly demonstrated by Inderjeet Kesar, holding the record for the highest number of novels in the Dogri language. In his presidential address, Prof. Lalit Magotra complimented the novelist on his latest work and urged other writers to draw inspiration from Inderjeet Kesar's unwavering commitment to enriching Dogri literature with an annual literary contribution, a tradition spanning several years. He expressed hope for the continued success of Kesar's literary mission in the future. Dr. Chanchal Bhasin presented a detailed paper on the novel, adding an academic perspective to the literary celebration.
