| 21 grams of heroin recovered by Police from peddlers | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 21 grams of heroin from three accused persons in the jurisdiction of PS Gandhi Nagar.
A police team of PS Gandhi Nagar led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO PS Gandhi Nagar Inspr Pankaj Sharma and ASI Lateef Ahmed while on patrolling duty near Nag Devta Park Shastri Nagar Jammu rounded up three suspects who were coming on one creta car bearing Regd. No. PB70D/0044. On search, 21 grams of heroin and electric weighing machine was recovered from them.
In this regard a case FIR No. 295/2023 U/s 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act got registered in PS Gandhi Nagar and accused were arrested. The accused arrested were later identified as namely :
1.) Suresh Kumar S/o Madan Lal R/o Miran Sahib, Jammu (Driver),
2.) Yougal Kishore Sharma S/o Inder Dev Sharma R/o Athal Seleri Sunderbani, Rajouri
3.) Naryan Sharma S/o Ravinder Nath Sharma R/o Panjtirthi, Pacca Danga, Jammu
The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP South Shaheen Wahid.
Further investigation of the case is going on. Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain. Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
