Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 12: Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), inaugurated a three-day Painters' Camp for young artists at the Academy's premises. The event, held in the presence of Senior Artist Jang S. Verman as an expert and Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi, JKAACL, witnessed the participation of nine budding and young artists from the Jammu region. Bharat Manhas, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the Academy's commitment to organizing literary, cultural, and art events across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that such initiatives provide a platform for both young and senior artists, contributing to the promotion of art, culture, and literature in various genres and dimensions. Manhas expressed hope that the energetic youth participating in the camp would showcase their talents, opening new horizons to demonstrate their abilities. Under the leadership of Sh. Bharat Singh Manhas, JKAACL has conducted numerous art, culture, and literary programs recently, and the Academy plans to continue organizing such events with enthusiasm across the Union Territory. The young budding artists participating in the camp include Ankush Kesar, Lovesh Sharma, Shakti Kumari, Renu Bala, Mahua Gupta, Simran Dogra, Suneel Dutt, Sushil Bharti, and Rohir Sharma. Each artist will create one artwork in their chosen style during the three-day painters' camp. Irshad Tantray, Asstt. Exhibition Officer, is in charge of the three-day Painters Camp. The event attracted the presence of many artists and art lovers, including Rohit Verma, Sukhjit Singh Kukkal, Jasleen Singh, Vir Ji Sumbli, K K Ganjoo, Vanika Gupta, Pallak Gandotra, Ajay Singh Andotra, Subh Sharma, and others. |
