Two-day State Level National Children Science Congress concludes at RM Public School Jammu

JAMMU, Dec 12: The scientific atmosphere at RM Public School in Chowadhi, Jammu, reached its peak as the two-day State Level National Children Science Congress (NCSC) concluded successfully. Organized by the National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society (NCURDS) Jammu, under the guidance of the School Education Department Jammu, the event received support from the National Council for Science and Technology Communications (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The Valedictory function of the program, held today, was presided over by Prof. D. S. Manhas, Dean/Director Placement Cell Cluster University Jammu. The event was graced by Dr. Narinder Kumar, Associate Professor Zoology, GGM Science College Jammu, Mr. Rameshwar Mengi, Chairman Shiksha Niketan Group of institutions, and Rakshan Mengi, Director RM Public School Jammu, as the guests of honor.
Dr. Ashaq Hussain, Chairman NCSC J&K-Jammu, in his welcome address, provided an overview of the NCSC program, highlighting its role in fostering scientific temperament among children from an early age. He shared that during the two-day event, 41 projects were presented by child scientists from different districts. The top 7 outstanding projects were selected to represent Jammu at the National level later this month.
Prof. D. S. Manhas, in his Presidential address, commended the efforts of Zaffar Ullah Khan, Founder Secretary-General of NCURDS, Jammu, and State Coordinator NCSC-J&K (Jammu), and his team for organizing the program. He stressed the urgency of applying science and technology for the benefit of society and commended NCSC for instilling scientific curiosity in students. Dr. Narinder Kumar emphasized the importance of science and technology in the modern age and expressed optimism that such programs could inspire children to think and act scientifically.
The program concluded with the presentation of mementos to dignitaries as tokens of appreciation and ended with a note of gratitude, expressed through a vote of thanks by Mr. Kuldeep Gupta, State academic Coordinator. He commended the efforts of the management, teachers, and students of RM Public School Chowadhi Jammu for making the program a grand success.
