Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 12: In a historic achievement for Jammu & Kashmir in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), two young athletes, Labeeb and Zaid, showcased stellar performances at the Asian Championship held in Bahrain from December 9 to 12. The athletes emerged victorious in their respective medal bouts against tough opponents, marking a groundbreaking feat for Team India. Labeeb secured a victory against WON GYU PARK from South Korea, while Zaid triumphed over HUMAID AL-ALI from the UAE. The Youth A category witnessed the exceptional performance of the Kashmiri duo, earning two gold medals and two bronze medals for Team India. Zahoor Ahmad and Sheikh Khalid, both hailing from the Kashmir valley, played a crucial role in Team India's success, contributing to the team's two bronze medals. They also served as coaches, shaping the performance and success of the team. The President of MMA J&K, Naseem Ahmad Chaya, along with the General Secretary and other association members, extended heartfelt congratulations to Labeeb and Zaid for their outstanding achievements on the international stage.
