The two-day visit witnessed the unveiling of projects worth over Rs. 19,150 crores, solidifying the government's commitment to regional growth and progress. New Integrated Terminal Building Inauguration: The Prime Minister inaugurated the state-of-the-art New Integrated Terminal Building at Surat Airport, designed to handle a significant influx of domestic and international passengers. The facility, inspired by local culture, boasts sustainability features, emphasizing environmental consciousness. Surat Diamond Bourse Inauguration: In a historic moment, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Surat Diamond Bourse, the world's largest and modern center for international diamond and jewelry business. The bourse is equipped with cutting-edge facilities, including a Customs Clearance House, a Jewelry mall, and international banking services. Swarved Mahamandir Inauguration: Prime Minister Modi visited and inaugurated the newly built SwarVed Mahamandir in Umaraha, Varanasi. The Mahamandir, a significant spiritual landmark, was addressed by the Prime Minister in a public function. Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Participation: In Sewapuri, a rural area of Varanasi, the Prime Minister participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, interacting with beneficiaries of various government schemes. The event showcased live sports events and recognized winners of the Kashi Sansad Khel Pratiyogita 2023. Development Projects Inauguration: Prime Minister Modi dedicated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs. 19,150 crores, including the New Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar-New Bhaupur Dedicated Freight Corridor Project and crucial railway projects. Unified Tourist Pass System Launch: In a move to facilitate seamless tourism, the Prime Minister launched the Unified Tourist Pass System, offering integrated QR code services for Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Ganga Cruise, and Sarnath's light and sound show. Foundation Stone Laying: The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for projects totaling more than Rs. 6500 crore, encompassing an 800 MW solar park, a petroleum oil terminal at Mirzapur, widening of Varanasi-Bhadohi NH 731 B, rural drinking water schemes, critical care units, and Ganga Ghats redevelopment.
