Online financial fraud: J&K Police seek people’s cooperation | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 21: The Cyber Police Kashmir on Thursday sought cooperation from people who have been affected by the online multi- crore financial scam. A company, operating under the name “Curative Survey Private Limited” is accused of deceiving thousands of depositors and duping them of at least Rs 59 crore after promising to double their investment in 15 days. The company officials have disappeared after the multi-crore scam surfaced. J&K Police has registered a case and taken up the investigations. On Wednesday, police conducted multiple raids to arrest the fraudsters. J&K Police’s Cyber unit on Thursday urged the people to share the details related to the company. “If you’ve been affected by the recent online financial scam or have info related to it, your contribution is crucial! Share details with us to aid our investigation,” Cyber Police Kashmir said. Cyber Police Kashmir has frozen several identified accounts operated by the said company and also questioned some suspects in the case. |
