Early Times Report SAMBA, Jan 1: In a significant breakthrough, Samba Police successfully solved the attempted murder case in Shehzadpur Ramgarh and apprehended the main accused responsible for the attack on a local youth with a sharp-edged weapon. The arrested individual has been identified as Radhey Sham, also known as Shamu, son of Som Dutt, and a resident of Shehzadpur, Ramgarh. The incident occurred on December 19, 2023, when Radhey Sham, along with other accomplices, attacked Pankaj Sharma, son of Tara Chand and a resident of Shehzadpur, Ramgarh, using a sharp-edged weapon, resulting in injuries. A case (FIR No. 92/2023) under sections 307, 323, 148 IPC, and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at PS Ramgarh, and the investigation is currently underway. SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, emphasized that criminals will not find refuge in Samba district, as the police are conducting thorough investigations with a highly professional approach to solve all cases and apprehend the culprits and their associates. He further highlighted the commitment of the Samba Police, with 165 hardened criminals arrested in the past eleven months, and the imposition of the Public Safety Act (PSA) on those deemed necessary. The successful resolution of this attempted murder case reflects the relentless efforts of Samba Police in maintaining law and order in the district and sending a strong message that criminal activities will not be tolerated. |
