Anantnag, Jan 7: Former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K Muzaffar Hussain Baig on Sunday rejoined Peoples Democratic Party and said that he never left PDP. Baig along with his wife DDC Baramulla Safina Baig rejoined PDP in presence of party president Mehbooba Mufti. Paying rich tributes to late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on his 8th death anniversary at his grave at Dara Shikoh, Bijbehara, Anantnag. Baig said he is missing the PDP founder like a son misses his father. Talking to media persons in south Kashmir’s I was inactive for quite some time but I’m still associated with the party. The relation between me and PDP is like a single soul. A person cannot set a house on fire which he had built himself. Anantnag district, Baig said that he remained inactive from politics for quite some time but never left PDP. “I never left PDP. I was inactive for quite some time but I’m still associated with the party. The relation between me and PDP is like a single soul,” Baig said. Replying to a query, he said a person cannot set a house on fire which he had built himself. Asked about his possible election of Lok Sabha candidate from north Kashmir, Baig replied that it is upon party leadership who will decide and take a call on it. |
