Domana Police crack down on thieves

Jammu, Jan 17: In a significant breakthrough, the Domana Police have successfully solved four theft cases, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of stolen property valued at Rs 8,35,000.
The arrests were made under the dedicated efforts of a special team led by SHO P/S Domana Insp. Sushil Choudhary and PSI Danish Qaiser Gazali.
The theft cases, registered under FIR No. 372/2022, FIR No. 153/2023, FIR No. 243/2023, and FIR No. 382/2023 at PS Domana, involved incidents falling under the jurisdiction of PS Domana. The stolen items included electronic gadgets, artificial and gold jewelry, and a significant amount of cash.
The police team, during their investigation, meticulously analyzed CCTV footage from the surrounding areas. Subsequently, two suspects were identified, leading to their apprehension.
The arrested individuals were identified as Mohd Waqar alias Mithu, residing at Choudhary Naar Rajouri A/P Pollyhill Sunjwan Jammu, and Aslam Choudhary, a resident of Channi Rama Jammu, son of Siraj Din.
Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the theft cases, and as a result, electronic gadgets worth Rs 70,000, artificial and gold jewelry valued at Rs 4 lakh, and a cash sum of Rs 3,65,000 were recovered from their possession.
The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities anticipate further arrests and recoveries. SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor, SP Rural Jammu Sh. Rahul Charak, and SSP Jammu Sh. Dr. Vinod Kumar (IPS) provided crucial supervision throughout the operation.
The successful resolution of these cases reflects the commitment of the Domana Police to ensuring the safety and security of the community. The prompt and efficient action taken by law enforcement underscores their dedication to upholding justice and maintaining public trust.
