JK Waqf Board Chairperson tours Udhampur, Ramban pledges development for religious properties | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 29: Jammu and Kashmir: In a proactive effort to assess and elevate the state of religious properties within its purview, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, undertook an extensive tour of Udhampur and Ramban districts. During her visit, Dr. Andrabi meticulously surveyed the Jamia Masjid Complexes located at Eid Gah Road in Udhampur and Ramban. Accompanied by Waqf Board Member Nawabuddin and CEO Dr. Majid Jahangir, Dr. Andrabi received comprehensive briefings on the developmental proposals for the Udhampur Jamia by the Board Member and the Additional Commissioner Revenue (ACR) of the district. The Chairperson also conducted on-site inspections of various Waqf-controlled and managed properties in both districts. Engaging with different delegations of people and representatives from diverse public and social organizations, Dr. Andrabi addressed concerns and assured the public that the Waqf Board would thoroughly review proposals submitted by shrine management committees and public representatives. This process aims to assess the potential inclusion of shrines into the Waqf Board's efficient management system.
