MVD holds road safety awareness programme at Boys Higher secondary school Samba | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Feb 5: As a part of the ongoing National road safety Month, Motor Vehicle Department Samba organized a road safety awareness event at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Samba and spread awareness among the school children. The aim of the programme was to educate students about the importance of road safety and to create awareness among them regarding the various road safety rules and regulations. A large number of students along with teaching staff participated in this event. On the occasion ARTO Samba Shammi Kumar emphasized the need for road safety. He also gave detailed instructions about traffic signals, signs and told about various online services regarding applying for driving licence, RC and other documents. He also stressed upon the students to follow the traffic rules and wear the best quality helmet and also wear seat belts while driving. He addressed various aspects of safe driving and highlighted the possible consequences of negligent or deliberate violation of traffic rules. The ARTO Samba was accompanied by Chief Education officer Samba Kewal Krishan, Principal Boys Higher Secondary School Sat Paul and the officials of the motor vehicle department including MVI C.S Balowria. |
