Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 5: In a significant initiative, the S.K. Police Academy in Udhampur has commenced a comprehensive five-day training program aimed at enhancing the investigative skills of police officers on the crucial subject of "Safety of Women." The course, which has garnered participation from 22 police officers representing various regions across Jammu & Kashmir, was inaugurated by Shri Rakesh Sambyal, Chief Prosecuting Officer of SKPA Udhampur. The inaugural function, marked by its grandeur, witnessed an impressive ceremony where Rakesh Sambyal extended a warm welcome to all course participants on behalf of the Academy's Director. Stressing the importance of the training, he urged officers to elevate their professional competence as investigators, with a specific focus on offenses against women and children, including the evolving realm of Cyber Crime. The primary objective of the training program is to ensure that investigators handle cases leading to successful convictions. The thoughtfully designed course covers investigation skills and imparts the latest knowledge of relevant legal provisions, including POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act, and others. Eminent speakers from academia and renowned Cyber Forensic experts are scheduled to deliver lectures, enriching the learning experience. Adding prestige to the event, Dr. Kavita Suri, Director of the Department of Life Long Learning at the University of Jammu, graced the inaugural function with her presence. The coordination of this critical training program is efficiently managed by Shri Sandeep Mahajan, Inspector, and HC Randip Singh, both esteemed members of the faculty at the academy. This initiative underscores the commitment of the S.K.
