JKAACL showcases 'Ek Shaam Veeroon Ke Naam' | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Feb 16: To give tributes to the martyrs and to show solitary to the brave soldiers, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages presented a mesmerising Music & Dance programme titled 'Ek Shaam Veeroon Ke Naam' here today at Veer Bhoomi Park, Samba. Gulshan Singh Charak, President Dogra Sadar Sabha was the chief guest and Mahinder Singh, Former Chairman, Jammu Central Co-operative Bank was the guest of honour. Retd. Lt. Gen R K Sharma was the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, Gulshan Singh Charak, President Dogra Sadar Sabha while speaking described the professionalism, competency and courage of soldiers as unparalleled and congratulated JKAACL for presenting a world class presentation. He further shares that this kind of programme shows patriotism for our country and shows great love to our brave soldiers. Addressing the august gathering, Sanjeev Gupta, SOCA, Kathua of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages stated that JKAACL always tries to showcase a variety of events in the samba district. Today's event 'Ek Shaam Veeroon Ke Naam' is the bouquet of different forms of culture of Jammu region. The programme was started with the vibrant Dogri folk by Amit Kumar & Party followed by folk dogri singing by Rakesh Kumar & Party. The stage was further taken by Raman Salathia who left everyone stunned with his power packed singing skills. The programme was further culminated with the presentations by Milan Cultural and Social Organisation who presented Punjabi songs, Rakesh Kona & Party who showcased Dogri Dance Form 'Phumniyaan' and Razia Akhthar & Party who staged Dogri folk Dance. All the artists received repeated applause from the august gathering. A localite namely Ramesh Kumar while unanimously came on the stage appreciated and lauded the efforts made by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages for bringing cultural events to Kathua and Samba district.
