Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 16: In a bid to celebrate the rich traditional culture of Jammu & Kashmir, the Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged its 403rd Friday Series Musical Play titled "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," a cultural awareness program held in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art production. The event took place at the Rehearsal Hall, Durga Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu, showcasing a vibrant display of music, dance, and theatrical performances. The play, written, produced, and directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra, was inaugurated by V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. distinguished guests included J.K. Raina, a freelance Producer and Director of Films, Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra from the Directorate of Health, J&K Government, and Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department, along with Mukesh Singh, a notable media personality from Jammu. Commencing with melodious renditions of "Rishi Muni Ne Dekha Tha Sapna," "Lo Ayi Vapis Sone Ki Chidiya," "Ekta Ekta Ka Diya," and "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," the program captivated the audience with its soul-stirring performances. Renowned artists of BLSKS showcased their talents through songs and dances, accompanied by music composed by M.C. Kotwal, assisted by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor at BLSKS. The chief guest emphasized the philosophical significance of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," translating to "the world is one family," underscoring its message of universal brotherhood, respect, and compassion. He stressed the relevance of this message in today's global landscape, where cooperation and understanding are paramount. Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of BLSKS, elucidated on the profound meaning of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," advocating for kindness, compassion, and mutual respect among all individuals, regardless of differences. He emphasized the importance of embracing diversity and fostering peace and harmony in society. M.C. Kotwal, Secretary of BLSKS, elaborated on the aims and objectives of the program, highlighting its collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the State Government of Jammu and Kashmir, along with the Health Department, for mass awareness. The event concluded with a pledge by artists and students to eradicate social evils and promote national unity. The musical concert featured stellar performances by artists such as Usha Raina, Rajni Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Bindia Okheda, Zulekha Farid, Vandna Gupta, Anuroop Pathaina, Naiya Digra, among others, leaving the audience enthralled. Master Deepak Kumar extended gratitude for the successful conduct of the program, marking a memorable celebration of culture and unity in Jammu. |
