PM Modi’s third rally in MA Stadium | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18: Tuesday’s scheduled rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the third rally to be addressed by him at the Moulana Azad (MA) Stadium in Jammu. After he was declared as BJP’s Prime Minister candidate in 2013, Narendra Modi addressed the “Lalkar Rally” at MA Stadium Jammu. That rally which was held on December 1, 2013, is still considered as biggest-ever political gathering in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. It was after Narendra Modi’s rally at MA Stadium that the BJP created history and first time won all-time high three Lok Sabha in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir in 2014. Earlier in the 1999 Lok Sabha elections BJP had won two Lok Sabha seats in J&K. The second rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was held at MA Stadium on December 16, 2014, during the campaign of Assembly elections in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. It was the result of the Prime Minister’s campaign in J&K and his rally at MA Stadium that the BJP created history by winning an all-time high 25 assembly seats. BJP not only won an all-time 25 assembly seats but also became part of the government in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. BJP leaders believed that the third rally of the Prime Minister at MA Stadium would script a new chapter in the history of the party in Jammu and Kashmir as the BJP is going to win a majority of the Parliamentary seats in the coming elections. |
