Jammu, Feb 28: Even as the J&K unit of BJP constituted panels of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the party's high command will take feedback from various offshoots of Sangh Parivar before giving consent for the names of candidates. Highly placed sources said that no final decision regarding candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections has been taken so far. “The party leadership is presently focusing on bigger states likes Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, etc”, sources said and added that process of shortlisting candidates in J&K will be started only after imposition of the model code of conduct. Reports said that the central leadership of the BJP has hired private agencies to conduct assembly constituency-based surveys to assess performance of sitting Lok Sabha members. Interestingly those involved in conducting surveys have done excellent homework because they have full knowledge of the ticket aspirants in all the assembly constituencies of Jammu province. |
