FADA reports growth in vehicle retail data for Jammu, Kashmir in Feb 2024

NEW DELHI, Mar 9: The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) unveiled the Vehicle Retail Data for February 2024 for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, showcasing notable trends in various vehicle categories.
2-Wheeler Category: Witnessed a growth of 4.03%, with retail figures reaching 5,063 units in February 2024, compared to 4,867 units in February 2023.
3-Wheeler Category: Experienced a remarkable surge of 77.68%, with retail numbers totaling 1,162 units in February 2024, compared to 654 units in February 2023. Commercial Vehicle Category: Recorded a slight decline of -3.40%, with retail figures reaching 881 units in February 2024, compared to 912 units in February 2023.
Passenger Vehicle Category: Witnessed a decrease of -1.91%, with retail figures totaling 4,476 units in February 2024, compared to 4,563 units in February 2023.
Tractor Vehicle Category: Experienced a decline of -11.86%, with retail figures reaching 260 units in February 2024, compared to 295 units in February 2023.
The total retail figures for February 2024 stood at 11,842 units, indicating an overall growth of 4.88% compared to February 2023.
Sanjay Aggarwal, Chairperson of FADA Jammu UT, commented on the performance of February 2024, highlighting a growth of 4.88% over the corresponding period of the previous year. He noted significant strength in segments such as Two-wheelers and Three-wheelers, which reached all-time highs compared to the previous February. Mr. Aggarwal expressed optimism for March, the financial year-end, anticipating increased sales driven by attractive consumer offers from OEMs.
