Jammu, Mar 9: A day after National Conference Vice-President Omar Abdullah debunked Lalu Prasad Yadav’s personal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president, and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah disowned the statement of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav against Modi. On Saturday SP chief Akhilesh Yadav made a highly controversial remark by equating the ten-year tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with “Hitler”. “I strongly opposed such remarks against the Prime Minister of the country. He is not the Prime Minister of BJP only, Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the whole country including communities be it Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians or others”, Farooq Abdullah said while debunking Yadav’s statement. “As long as Narendra Modi is on the chair, he is the Prime Minister of the country. All of us must respect the chair”, a veteran politician said. Earlier on Friday, Omar Abdullah on Friday termed Lalu Prasad Yadav’s remarks against the Prime Minister as a self-goal for the opposition before the Parliament election.
