3/9/2024 10:10:36 PM

Early Times Report

Srinagar, Mar 9: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit today organized a public meeting in Rangpura, to Ilahibagh area of Srinagar under the campaign "Pehale Adhikaar Phir Sarkar " and held a dialogue with the public. Dozens of people joined Shiv Sena on this occasion.
Party state chief Manish Sahni said in his address that with the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, conspiracies have been hatched to erase our identity from Jammu and Kashmir by making it a Union Territory. He said that such an environment is being created that outsiders can take over our business, employment and resources.
Sahni said that on the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir, big promises were made of soon returning the statehood to the people, restoration of peace, elimination of terrorism, safe return of Kashmiri Pandits including development, employment, better health education. Despite a long gap of almost four and a half years, all the promises have proved to be hollow at the ground level. Sahni said that in the Lok Sabha elections, the public has a better chance to teach a lesson to those who break their promises and betray them. On this occasion, influenced by the policies and ideas of the party, about 50 local people joined Shiv Sena. Local resident Muhammad Ramzan, who had joined the party, was appointed as center in-charge Kashmir division. Present on this occasion, President Women's Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, President Kashmir Division Bashir Malik, President Kamgar Raj Singh, Bashir Ahmed welcomed the members who joined the party with Shiv Bandhan and Nishan. Later the party leaders, who reached Srinagar Press Club to brief the media as per their scheduled programme, were not allowed to talk. They were taken into custody and brought to Kothibagh police station and after about an hour he was released and asked to go towards Jammu. On this occasion, many leaders and workers including Shashipal, Mangu Ram, Manzoor Ahmed, Imran Akbar, Mohammad Mir, Dilshad Begum, Rashida Begum, Gulzar Ahmed, Muhammad Rafiq, Javed Ahmed, Khurshid Ahmed were present.
