Attempt to intimidate Shiv Sena leaders, demand for adequate security | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 11: The growing support base and popularity of Shiv Sena (UBT) in Jammu and Kashmir is not being able to digest the ruling party along with the mischievous elements active in Kashmir, party leaders are being threatened continuously, says Shiv Sena (UBT). Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni. During a press conference organized at the party state intermediate office in Jammu today, state chief Manish Sahni said that during his visit on March 9, a huge crowd of local people gathered at a program organized at Rangpura, Ilahibagh in Srinagar , The ruling parties as well as the mischievous elements are not able to digest it. Sahni said that late night on 10th Mar , some suspicious persons cut off electricity through the roof and tried to forcibly enter the residence of party center Kashmir in-charge Muhammad Ramzan Dar (venue where the program was organised). Ramzan Dar and his family members raised an alarm and informed the police by calling immediately late night. The suspects fled before the police rush the spot. Sahni said that he had spoken to the police officers of the area on phone and demanded to provide adequate security to the party leaders before any untoward incident. Sahni said that after the program organized in Ilahibagh on March 9, the trouble in the ruling party had increased to such an extent that he was not allowed to talk to the journalists at the Press Enclave of Srinagar using police force and was forcibly sent towards Jammu. Sahni said that if the Election Commission and the Central Government are conscious of conducting fair elections in Jammu and Kashmir, then there will be a complete stop to such behavior with the opposition parties. |
