Jammu, Mar 11: A 7-month pregnant woman lost her life in a road accident at Rehari here on Monday.
According to the details available with Early Times the victim was going with her husband for an ultrasound when an an Oil Tanker, bearing registration number JK02DF 2305, driven by an unidentified driver, lost control near Rehari Chungi and collided with a motorcycle no. JK02CB 9298, driven by Mohammad Haneef of Raka Narwal Jammu. His wife Nusrat Fatima suffered critical injuries, she was rushed to GMC Jammu where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police have registered a case FIR no. 22/2024 U/S 279/337 IPC at PS Pacca Danga Jammu. The driver of the Oil Tanker, who fled the scene post-accident, was apprehended by the police at Bathindi and the tanker involved in the accident has been seized by the authorities. |
