JAMMU, Mar 11: One day awareness programme was held at National College of Education Purkhoo Camp, Jammu which was organized under the supervision of Dy. SP. Anita Pawar, Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. The awareness programme was attended by 70 students of the College. Awareness about the basic knowledge of First Aid, Fire fighting, CPR and other life saving techniques were given to the students by the Civil Defence expert. During the programme demonstration on the above said topics was also presented by the Civil Defence team. The main aim of the awareness programme was to educate students with regard to preventive measures during natural or man-made disasters. On the occasion Dy. SP. Anita Pawar, delivered a lecture on the topics of Disaster Management and highlighted the role and importance of Civil Defence organization. Er. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Dean of the College appreciated and thanked the Civil Defence team for organizing the awareness programme.
Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, Dr. Manju Driwedi, Principal of the College, Yashumati Jamwal, Sr. Faculty of the College and other staff of the College also present on the occasion. |
