Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 11: In a bold move to apprehend a proclaimed offender, the Jammu Police took to the streets on 10.03.2024, employing an unconventional method of public announcement. The individual in question, Kapil Singh, son of Sandal Singh, residing at H.No. 500, Subash Nagar, Jammu, had been evading arrest in connection to FIR No 06/2004 under sections 382 and 323 RPC of PS Bakshinagar. Recognizing the urgency to bring him to justice, the Hon'ble court of CJM Jammu declared him a "proclaimed offender." In an effort to notify the public and elicit assistance in locating Kapil Singh, posters of his proclamation were prominently displayed in public areas and affixed to the gates of his residence. Additionally, the Jammu Police took to the streets, beating drums and making announcements in and around the vicinity of Kapil Singh's house. The purpose of this unique approach was to raise awareness among the general populace and encourage individuals with any information regarding Kapil Singh's whereabouts to come forward promptly. Failure to do so may result in the attachment of his property under relevant legal provisions.
