| Illicit Liquor Recovered, accused arrested: Reasi Police | | |

Reasi, Mar 10: Continuing the drive against drug abuse and illicit liquor launched by District Police Reasi. Reasi Police recovered illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger involved in smuggling the illicit liquor.
Police party of Police Camp Mora Mal was on routine patrolling duty who received an information through reliable source that one person namely Sukhdev Singh S/O Bali Ram R/O Moramal (Tuli) Tehsil Chassana Distt. Reasi is involved in distillation of illicit desi liquor, on this information the police team searched the house of the above-mentioned person wherein 1.5 liters of illicit (desi) liquor, 05 litres of lahan and utensils for preparation of desi liqour have been recovered from his home. In this connection a case FIR No 14/2024 under section 48 (a) has been registered at P/S Chassana, and investigation is going on. SSP Reasi MS Mohita Sharma-IPS conveyed that Reasi police under is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling from the area and people from all sections of the society should come forward and join hands with Police to strengthen anti-drug drive of District Police Reasi and share any information regarding such illegal activities on district police anti drug helpline no. 9070907017 where identity of caller will be kept secret. |
