JAMMU, Mar 23: In a statement issued by Doda Police it was told that based on a specific information regarding manufacturing of illicit liquor, a police team of Police Station Gandoh headed by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday SHO PS Gandoh ,assisted by PSI Avinash Khajoria raided the house of one Lekh Raj S/O Uda Dass R/O Ranote and during search, 10 Ltrs of illicit liquor, around 40 Ltrs of Lahan and apparatus was recovered from the spot.
In this connection, case FIR No. 18/2024 under relevant section under excise act has been registered at PS Gandoh and investigation started.
Doda Police has launched a special drive against bootleggers, drug smugglers, bovine smugglers and has reiterated the appeal to general pubic to cooperate and assist the police so that drug smuggling, manufacturing/selling of illicit liquor and other crime related activities are rooted out from the society and crime free atmosphere is built up. |
