Entrepreneurship Conclave Empowers Students at School of Business SMVDU

Katra, Mar 24: In a bid to nurture entrepreneurial spirit and foster innovation, the School of Business, Faculty of Management, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), organized a dynamic Entrepreneurship Conclave. The event, graced by esteemed guests and industry experts, aimed to inspire and equip students with the skills and mindset necessary for entrepreneurial success.
The inaugural session, presided over by Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor of SMVDU, underscored the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset. Prof. Kumar emphasized the need for individuals to identify opportunities, overcome challenges, and embrace entrepreneurship as a path towards personal and professional growth. Prof. Ashutosh Vashistha, Dean of the Faculty of Management, expressed gratitude to the experts and extended best wishes to the participating students for their future endeavors.
Throughout the conclave, Prof. Supran Kumar Sharma, Coordinator of the program, and Prof. Jyoti Sharma, Head of the School of Business, elaborated on various entrepreneurial opportunities and shared insights on perseverance and resilience in entrepreneurship. The event featured six plenary sessions led by distinguished experts from diverse backgrounds, each offering valuable perspectives on entrepreneurship.
Mr. Sanjeeva Shivesh, Co-founder of Think Startup, Gurugram, NCR, highlighted the government schemes promoting entrepreneurial ventures and emphasized the role of Viksit Bharat in fostering national development. Prof. T. Prasad from IIM Mumbai stressed the importance of critical thinking and practical education in entrepreneurship.
Mr. Annil Suri, President and CEO of AB Consultants, emphasized the significance of personal SWOT analysis in charting a path to success, while Mr. Rajneesh Sharma, Director and Founder of Trikuta Agro, emphasized the value of perseverance, resilience, and learning from failures in personal and professional growth.
Dr. Vivek Sharma, CIO of IIM Jammu, encouraged students to have faith in themselves, invest in their passions, and pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Mr. Bhaskar Suri, Partner at Satyam Cattle Feed, shared insights on business planning and profitable startup ideas. The panel discussion on “Entrepreneurship & Viksit Bharat-Vision 2047” provided a platform for experts and students to discuss government initiatives and opportunities for youth entrepreneurship. Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar of SMVDU, emphasized the importance of such interactions for management students. The conclave concluded with a hands-on workshop on ‘Enterprise Management,’ conducted by Mr. Sanjeeva Shivesh and Prof. T. Prasad, aimed at imparting practical entrepreneurship skills to the students. Overall, the Entrepreneurship Conclave at SMVDU served as a catalyst for empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys and contribute to economic growth and innovation.
