Sarbat Da Bhalla Hockey Tournament continues

Jammu, Apr 20: Sarbat Da Bhalla Hockey Tournament The National Level Invitational Hockey Tournament reached to its pinnacle and Semi Final stage was all set tioday for deciding the two finalists. The Tournament started on 15th of April 2024 .Sikh Progressive Front had raised to expectations of Hockey fraternity in general and Hockey India in particular eighteen teams ,eight from out side State and ten from JK U T participated. Hockey Lovers including veterans, University/college/School students were directly and indirectly benefited while watching cream of Indian Hockey showing their skills, team sprit ,temperament over all discipline.
Last and fourth quarter final which was played between Punjab Police & YBC Sujjan Pur finished late night yesterday. Punjab police Hockey team lived upto its reputation as there aggression spirit earned them thje win with a big margin of 5 goals – 1. Mr Raman Deep Singh Olympian with the Marvelous stick work won the heart of jury who adjudged him player of the Match.
In todays played first Semi final both the teams exhibited excellent skills ,penetration and locked 2-2 draw in full time .Keeping in view to decide first finalists of the tournament shoot out was conducted in which RCF KAPURTHALA defeated Bathida XI by 3 goals to 1 .Mr Gurvinder Singh of RCF Kapurthala was adjudged player of the match for his excellent ball control, speed and powerful striking ability .
S Jatinder Singh,IPS grace the occasion as chief guest , S Jarnail Singh MD Peaks Auto & Our International and National star of taekwando, specifically able S Chan deep Singh were Guests of Honour.
In Second encounter of semi final Panjab Police defeated New Gurdaspur by solidarity goal 1-0 .The player of match trophy was awarded to Mr Paras Malhotra, goal keeper for his excellent saves and best anticipations throughout the match. The Chief Guest at auspicious occasion were Shri Arun Manhas (KAS) Director Industries and S D.P Singh M D JKI was the guest of Honour.
Some of the prominent personalities and hockey lovers who were present over there are S J.P Singh retd IPS, S JB Singh Bali former National hockey player, S Harkirat Singh pappi former National player, S Jaswinder Singh Kuku, S Angad Singh etc. S The tournaments is organised by Sikh Progressive Front which is officially approved by Hockey India and State Sports Council JK UT. Tomorrow Final match will played at 4.45 PM between RCF Kapurthala & panjab police.
