Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 27: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Jammu-Reasi for their overwhelming turnout in the Second Phase of Parliamentary election. Expressing confidence in the BJP's prospects, he asserted that the party is poised to secure a resounding victory in the Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary seat.
In a statement issued here today, Kavinder commended the voters for their robust participation across all districts, noting the enthusiastic turnout from border and far flung areas. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of BJP activists, attributing the party's strong showing to their tireless work on the ground.
"The massive voter turnout in favor of the BJP is a testament to the unwavering support of the people," he said, adding "Our party activists have worked tirelessly to mobilize this enthusiastic response, leaving no stone unturned. The Party is deeply grateful to both the people and our ground workers for their efforts."
Kavinder also underscored the palpable wave of support for the BJP, expressing confidence in the party's ability to secure a record victory margin in the Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary constituency. With a nearly unprecedented 72% polling recorded, he highlighted the electorate's active engagement in the democratic process, affirming their trust in the BJP's vision and leadership.
Reacting to the statement made by PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti, Kavinder criticized her remarks regarding the restoration of Article 370. He expressed strong skepticism towards Mufti's assertion, firmly stating that "No force in the universe can bring back Article 370."
Kavinder emphasized that the PDP has become a spent force, losing significant political ground in the Union Territory. He highlighted that the people have recognized Mufti's deceptive tactics driven by personal gains, leading to a lack of support for the PDP during the Lok Sabha polls.
The senior BJP leader reiterated that the abrogation of Article 370 was executed through statutory provisions of the Constitution, with the approval of the Indian Parliament. Therefore, restoring the same is not a child's play anymore, he added.
